audio stuff
tutorials/how to’s:——————————————————————————————————
simple oscillators: using cheap, simple integrated circuits you can make some useful little square wave tone generators, which become the building blocks for some great noise boxes and synths. These are resistance controlled oscillators, not voltage controlled.
pattern generators: the tone generators friend!!! more cmos IC abuse for squarewave oscillators.
4093 nand synth: 4 x 2-input gates, using 3 oscillators for gating, hard sync, flangy fun.
circuit bending:———————————————————————————————————-
modding the dr-110: getting the best out of the boss dr-110, and midi implementation.
alesis hr-16: one of my favourite machines to bend for seriously glitchie fun.
projects/units/synths:————————————————————————————————-
ripple synth: the ripple synth provides some nice rhythmical loopy patterns and noise, based upon the 4040 ripple counter used in the pattern generators tutorial above. provides tempo, tone and volume control, with led and resistor based control voltages for the vactrol, which controls the output oscillator.
analogue mini dub siren: this simple analogue circuit use’s an lfo and vco hooked up to a vca to create some classic dub sounds!
